A summer encounter, just two weeks, is not very long, but it’s enough to let us to be good friends among our Beihang volunteers and York’s students. The first foreign student I met is Ghazal, a very smart, easygoing and understanding girl. We talked about many things, our family, our love, etc. Just as the saying goes, love knows no borders. Then funny Muhammad, independent Kiana, generous Cindy and elegant Diana, all of them have left me a deep impression in this special summer.
The beginning was fine, and our Chinese volunteers picked up in the International airport then we have made their accommodation arrangements already as schedule. We helped them to adjust the campus life in Beihang, from classroom to hotel, from canteen to playground, and at the same time, we practiced spoken English and started to know each other more deeply. The next days, we had class together, go out for places of interested together, and go to shopping and bargain for goods together. For me, the most meaningful times is when your friends care about me and greet me in a warm tone, they showed me the faithful eyes. And the friendship in every tiny detail made me feel lucky and happy.
The journey of The Sino-Canadian Center Summer School 2016 is undoubtedly unforgettable and worthwhile!
